Homeland Security The threat of intentional jamming within the GPS L1 band is well documented. While the GPS signal possesses inherent anti-jam properties, its protection is limited as the GPS signal is quite weak. The GILDA-L1 provides a portable, highly mobile Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) location capability for use in applications such as port and harbor monitoring and emergency response in disaster situations among many others.











Aviation
Aviation With the evolving implementation of GPS based aircraft navigation systems, RFI is considered to be a serious source of navigation error and, in extreme situations, denial of service or even false position reporting. The GILDA-L1 gives airport spectrum engineers and technicians the ability to locate and mitigate RFI quickly and easily, especially in hard to reach areas.












High Precision GPS Positioning, Navigation, & Timing (PNT)
Surveying Surveying, vehicle guidance, collision avoidance, timing synchronization, and other high accuracy applications require high precision PNT performance. RFI decreases a GPS receivers signal to noise ratio resulting in decreased position and timing accuracy. RFI can cause downtime impacting cost and schedule. The GILDA-L1 is low-cost, easy to use, and quickly detects and locates sources of RFI in the GPS L1 band.















Urban Warfare
Urban Warfare / Battlefields In military environments, our soldiers increasingly depend on GPS. They navigate, communicate, and derive timing for other systems by using GPS. When GPS reception is hindered by friendly RFI or hostile jamming, a portable means of finding and disabling the RFI can mean soldiers can get back to executing their mission. The GILDA-L1 is a small, lightweight, handheld device which requires very little training and can be used in, and around, buildings, or in open areas to quickly find the source of RFI.











E911 Integrity Assurance
E911 Integrity Assurance GPS-assisted E911 service is becoming commonplace throughout the U.S. First Responders are using GPS based mapping and driving direction systems to locate people requireing assistance based on their GPS coordinates. Assuring that the GPS L1 signal is continuously free of RFI over large areas is now a constant challenge and will be even more important in the years ahead. The GILDA-L1 gives anyone the ability detect and locate specific occurrences of RFI or perform routine surveys over large areas.

OEM System Debugging GPS is becoming more and more embedded in consumer, industrial, and military systems. Poor placement of electronic devices, improper wiring practices, and failed electronic components, among other causes, can affect the reception of the weak GPS signals. A military units ability to perform its mission or a company′s ability to meet contracted deadlines can be adversely impacted. The GILDA-L1 provides the means to quickly locate an errant source of GPS L1 RFI in a small, handheld, easy to use package.
