The GNSS Interference Location and Debugging Aid - L1 Band (GILDA-L1™) is a handheld, portable device used for locating and isolating sources of radio frequency interference (RFI) to GPS/GNSS systems within the L1 band.

Features:
  • Small, handheld and easily stowed
  • Easy to use, requires minimal training
  • Instant-On operation
  • Covers GPS L1 C/A, P(Y), and future M & L1C code bandwidths
  • Detection of nearly any RFI type including wideband noise, spurious CW, unstable or frequency agile, and pulsed RFI signals
  • Continuous full band monitoring, not a swept receiver
  • High RF sensitivity and large dynamic range
  • User-settable receiver detection threshold
  • No phase-critical calibration required
  • Integrated antenna
  • Simple thumbwheel controls
  • Audio cueing indicator for homing operation
  • Built-in speaker
  • 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack
  • Rugged aluminum construction

The GILDA-L1 incorporates a built-in antenna with narrow beam technology, a wide dynamic range receiver and digital signal processing to achieve the highest possible performance. This device not only localizes RFI in wide open areas, it also serves as the “last leg” solution for mitigating hard-to-find GNSS interference in hard-to-reach locations, indoors or out.     Designed for ease-of-use, the GILDA-L1 requires minimal training and virtually no engineering skill. By utilizing simple thumbwheel controls and an audio cueing indicator, the user can quickly home in on the direction of RFI by physically scanning the local environment. It has a rugged aluminum enclosure and, with its handle in the closed position, is small enough to stow in a backpack, briefcase, or even a coat pocket.

GILDA-L1 in Use with Headphones
The portability of the GILDA-L1 is especially beneficial for locating RFI in applications involving tight quaters, urban and indistrial areas and where nearby equipment could generate unintentional, but disruptive, RFI.     By inserting a user-supplied audio headset in the 3.5 mm headset jack, the GILDA-L1 can be used in loud and noisy operating environments, increasing the range of applications for usage.
